Fort Pierce native Slater teams up with CQUE to drop of the visuals to their new single, “Talladega Nights”, from the album, “The Willie Beamen Project”
Slater grew up in one of Florida’s most toughest areas of Fort Pierc. Coming up in a musically talented family, he’s lived in a studio since he was an adolescent. His uncle Darin Slater and cousin Sylvester “Lil Me” Cooper were part of local legend crew, Party Boyz Express. Growing up in something similar to the dungeon family, Slater was born in a loud environment and from the tender age of 4, he knew his passion was for music. 20 years later he’s announcing his first album, “The Willie Beamen Project”, and opening his own label along side his younger brother Albert Wilson (wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins). Despite their environment and upbringing the brothers figured out a way to make it out of the hood and give back significantly to the youth who are now coming up in the dangerous community they grew up in.
