Looking to set themselves apart from the rest the played with different ways to deliver their lingo. While Max B had everyone saying wavy and others were using Swag the duo saw opportunity to coin the phrase ‘Swave’ short for Swavor. Their debut mixtape The Introduction Of… would hit in May of 2010 hosted by DJ Don Demarco. Aside from contributing lyrically Hood would shoot all but one of the group’s visuals. Later the two would launch their label officially as Swavorland Entertainment, LLC. As well as their sophomore effort, The Year of The Swave with production by Prince Hood on 16 out of 19 tracks on the album. H Squared would win for as their single would be used by ROH Wrestling’s, Prince Nana for his intro. The Underground Music Award Best Rap Duo. Their single McDuck Money became very popular throughout the city. In the years to come the duo has worked diligently expanded the Swavorland Entertainment brand and developing their artists and other ventures. Currently filming a new TV series, Chase Street, Daveed has strategically crafted his new music releases to go along with the momentum surrounding his acting buzz.
“I’ve always told people that if I wasn’t on the big screen I would be in the booth somewhere making hits. Along the way I have found a way to work on both and it has been fantastic,” says Ramsay whose new track Life Goes On is picking up locally and has a chance on the national scene.
