Fat Meech (@TheRealFatMeech) – “Dirty Scale”

Recently Fat Meech delivered the streets a new single titled, “Dirty Scale.” The single is the most recent in a slew of hits by the South Central based rapper, who has continued to deliver song after song for the fans amidst a worldwide pandemic.

“Dirty Scale has a lot of harmonizing and doo-wop on the track. It’s about me coming up off hustling in the streets – I don’t care if you used a scale or if you were seamstress, it’s about making something out of nothing. I really had nothing, I had my own marketing and my own hustles and grind and I think people should be able to relate to that. I was lost at one point but I don’t want to lose that feeling and feel like; What am I going to do tomorrow? I’m focused on music and hustling”

Having had success on over 50 websites across the globe in recent weeks, Fat Meech is gaining the attention of the media after turning away from the streets.  Now a star in the making and known through out the small world of Hip-Hop by the likes of Blueface and others,  this LA talent has a story to sing and he’s getting A LOT of ears.

“Music gives me more a direction and makes me think more about taking entertainment seriously as a profession. It’s motivation to see people tapping in with me,” Fat Meech said. “I keep getting the whole West Coast Rod Wave thing. I’m like where are y’all getting this from?! I fuck with Rod Wave, it’s a real positive thing to me because it’s like I’m trying to do that. Big shout out to DJ Hed at 92.3 for shouting me out during the Rod Wave interview. But yeah it’s crazy to get this kind of response and I truly appreciate the love the streets have shown me.”

Not only has Fat Meech been giving the fans music, but Fat Meech has also been finding ways to give back to the less fortunate in this time of need. Posted up with his his fiancé , Fat Meech and his wife to be clearly have fun on social media playing with the Meech’s followers and engaging with fans.

“To me someone who always wants to be better, they are always going to outshine the competition, because when you’re sleeping, I’m out with the flyers and trying to do what I can to build my brand. I’m hitting schools, throwing out my own money to gain fans and to show love back and to set myself apart from everyone else.I’m not backed by any label, that’s me! I’m trying to be better than basic and I show my life to my fans. When you really gain fans in real life, that really impact’s the algorithms online. I don’t want to forget what it’s like to be lost, so I hustle. To me I don’t ever want to lose that feeling of having that hunger to hustle.  Even if you’re sitting on $1 million, you gonna be trying to get to that $10 million,” Fat Meech said.

SLMN & anders – “Love in the Winter”

Fast-rising producer and multi-instrumentalist SLMN teams up with frequent collaborator and Juno Award-nominated R&B vocalist anders on new single “Love in the Winter” an uptempo hard-hitting love anthem from his much-anticipated debut EP Late Bloomer. The single will also appear on anders’ next upcoming full length release. If you are a fan of anders’ genre-bending pop/R&B output, there is a very good chance that you would have already heard the sweet sounds of SLMN, who is one of two sonic architects behind anders’ definitive sound that has yielded him over 100 million plus streams as an independent artist. Boasting production credits with everyone from multi-Grammy Award winner Mariah Carey (SLMN co-produced the Billboard #1 hit song “Caution”); Grammy nominees Lil’ Yachty and Tory Lanez; all the way to Billboard R&B chart topper Bobby Valentino, OVO R&B upstart Roy Woods, and future mega star Lil’ Gnar or Emerson, SLMN’s melodic, moody, lush and colourful production template sees no bounds, and skips seamlessly across R&B, pop and hip hop distinctions. And with certified results.

On this particular collaboration, the two Toronto-based artists received romantic inspiration from the oft chilly climate they both inhabit. “Love in the Winter literally began during the middle of a snowstorm,” admits the Sudanese-born, Hamilton-bred Juno-nominated producer (for his work on anders’ Twos EP) who spent years honing his musicianship by playing the saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, guitar, piano and drums. “We’ve put out over a dozen songs to date, so by this point, I’ve learned what kind of approach brings out the best in our collaborations. Bounce. Creating a subtle but unique bounce in the rhythm, with a catchy and melodic melody got the inspiration going for him. With the snowstorm raging he wrote and recorded the song in only a few hours.” He adds: “And what’s really interesting is that when anders writes about love and women, I almost always relate!” SLMN’s distinct sonic universe shines brightly on this new single that will keep him on the speed dial of vocalists who want to tap into the sounds of both today and tomorrow.

Y’man Dog ‘Dog Eat Dog’ LP

Y’man Dog, DMV’s seasoned and celebrated artist releases a new album titled ‘Dogma (Dog Eat Dog)’.  The solo 15-track project is said to be his top release to date.

Y’man Dog shows off his skill set as an emcee and eclecticism as an artist throughout the album’s entirety, which is brimming with street records, anthems, and even something for the ladies.

The Oxon Hill, Maryland based native engages listeners through impeccable wordplay and aggressive yet truth-based lyricism detailing his life and what’s made him and continues to empower his shine. Y’man Dog pays homage to his hood, depicts personal dog eat dog world survival tactics, and embodies the impact of mental and physical warfare.

The “Gangsta Humanitarian” also switches up the tempo, anthem style, with a focus on his grind, ability to keep his eyes on the prize, and the brush of wildfires when he shuts the scene down!  If that’s not enough, Y’man Dog reveals a vulnerable side and shares about his lustful desires and yearning to please the right woman.

Overall, Y’man Dog delivers a diverse selection of records that emulate his growth as both a man and an artist. The production which includes distinct piano keys, hard beats, soulful tones, and a perfect arrangement of classic and modern cadences heightens his lyrical deliverance and raw emotion. One thing is evident, after listening to ‘Dogma’ it’s almost impossible to shake the name “Gangsta Humanitarian.”
