[Video] Natalac releases new video titled Rates aka $50.00 Dollar Head | @Promovidz

True artistry comes with innovation, and with that comes a talent that’s been making noise since the 90’s, Natalac. With hip hop in his blood, the veteran emcee wanted something more from his rhymes and thus – pimp hop was born. Since it’s birth, pimp hop has led this rapper on one wild ride that’s had him everywhere from BET to an animated hit series.

One of his biggest songs to date, “Pimp of the City” garnered him attention from BET and with that came airplay in the Carolinas. His music is almost as recognizable as his face. So if his face looks familiar, well that’s because his image was used in The Boondocks as the character Slickback, a pimp – obviously. All of his success could not have been possible without his twist on hip hop. Which can be heard with his latest single, “Rates.”

Natalac is an emcee who created pimp hop back in the day and has built a career around it ever since. Now he’s planning on dropping his tenth album, The Natalac Experience in mid-May.

#NewMusic DJ DB405 drops EP titled “Lapwing Rd” | @DJ_DB405 @PromoMixtapes

Dj DB405 aka Mr. #GodisTrill is an up and coming DJ from Oklahoma. As an Oklahoma native this is the place where he first fell in love with music. This is where it all began before being in the streets selling mixtapes, DJing nightclubs,  and grinding all around OKC at the young age of 16.
DJ DB405 is a Christian DJ who is working with artists to create music with a positive message. Dj DB405 seeks to change lives through his music. Dj DB405 named this album Lapwing Rd. after the street he grew up on in Edmond, OK.
Let’s get into “The Lapwing Rd. EP. Overall this is a crafty project. I am feeling the energy, the delivery, and production. Dj DB405 may be a christian DJ, but he delivers a positive message over trappy beats, and highly crafted engineering which is up to par with any of his peers.
Historically “Christian” rappers have left a “corny” taste in my mouth with their over produced beats, boring lyrics and overly “churchy” sound. We need more Christian DJ’s like Dj DB405 to bring out the dope Christian artists. I am rocking with this dudes music and I love the positive message he exudes through his projects.

[Single] Ovadoze ft Clay James – 2 Da Limit @TheRealOvaDoze @WhoIsClayJames

[Single] Ovadoze ft Clay James – 2 Da Limit

Growing up in the eastside of Atlanta, Ovadoze got an early start in music after he began writing as a freshman in highschool. Intrigued by 106 & Park’s “Freestyle Friday”, where unknown independent artists would rap off the top of the dome, it influenced Ovadoze to also take his stand in pursuing music. Since his father was born in the east coast, Ovadoze’s childhood was filled with various genres of music which eventually pushed him to become a versatile individal when he began to make his own music. From the looks of it, Ovadoze might seem as a term that relatively means “doing something over the capacity in which it should be done”. With that idea in mind, that is exactly how Ovadoze describes himself.

“Ovadoze describes my persistence in overdoing something, whether it be Music or whatever else I may do in life. You do it until you are no longer able”

Now, 14 years later Ovadoze is still pursuing music pushing to make himself a household name in the industry. Creating music that people can relate to, he wants to be a rapper who listeners feel like they know personally without even meeting him.
Having the understanding of where he wants to go, allows him to do just that because he pushes to make others feel like his music is “separate but equal”.

“As an artist we have a hard time getting the common folk to take our music seriously because we are unknown. I want to be recognized as the artist that people feel like they know on a personal level. ”

As an active individual in the Atlanta area, Ovadoze does not only rap but he also takes the time to mentor young men in a program called “”PYM: Positive Young Men” and is also the Co-owner of an Atlanta salon called “UPSWEEP Beauty & Barber Salon”.

This is only the beginning for an individual who understands who he is and where he wants to go. Understanding that breaking into the music industry takes time, Ovadoze is willing to put in the work needed to get to where he wants to go.

Freestyle: @Team_Ockz “Flight School”

Brooklyn, NY rapper Ockz has dropped a new freestyle with some things he wants to get off of his chest. Produced by Raki, Ockz talks about the perils of the first taste of fame , money and prestige. So many people do not know how to handle it. He paints a lyrical picture of how it can all go wrong. Ockz is a throwback to the technique of a true NY emcee embodying the art of lyricism and the art of painting a picture.

Not content to be a fad rapper, Ockz with a clarity, conciseness, and directness that is refreshing and yet classically Brooklyn. Real Hip Hop heads will definitely get it. He is currently hard at work putting the finishing touches on his follow-up project The Prestige which will be out soon.
