Richie Rocket – “Take A Chill Pill”


Chicago native Richie Rocket isn’t one to forget the past, and that’s none more evident than on his latest release “Take A Chill Pill”. This one is centered around and era of music that saw growth and transition, and helped build the pillars for what the rap game is today. An 80’s inspired tape, “Take A Chill Pill” features samples from the decade, and is the 1st of a 4 part series the Illinois emcee is currently putting together. EVK – “Line of Scrimmage”


“Line of Scrimmage”, echoes EVK’s successful collaboration with the production of the EP’s track list featuring singles “Boss”, and the increasingly popular “UP”. “The project is about being in the zone, winning and chasing success” said EVK. “Just trying to capture the moments while standing at the Line of Scrimmage”.

This one features production from the likes of Harru, Kid Ocean Beats, MIGU Beats, OGBeats, Youngbtz, Chucki, Omito Beats and JP Soundz, and keeps the features to a minimum with Challa being the lone stand out.

Navvi – “Westside”


Navvi is back with a chilled-out track that rides an ultra-smooth, string-laden instrumental from Saavane, over which Navvi lays down some nice verses and a silky hook that all pieces together for a dope smokin’ tune. It’s the first track from him in a while, and acts as a great re-introduction to the music world. Look out for more from him soon, as “Westside” is definitely a dope showing from Navvi.
