Back on August 8th of 2015, Hip Hop lost one of it’s most noted lyrical soldiers when news broke that Sean Price had passed away. To add to the sorrow, it seems as though the Hip Hop genre is losing it’s way from the path it ought to journey down. Thankfully, we have artists such as Milwaukee’s Taiyamo Denku who strive to preserve the very core of what the culture embodies. Today, the Midwest monster debuts “Into Dust”, featuring VVS Verbal and Ruste Juxx, two of P’s close friends and associates.
The song opens up with a clip from “John 3:16” that features esteemed actor, Denzel Washington. As the song then begins, listeners are treated to nothing but brolic bars of brute, a showing that would make P himself proud. Australian producer/DJ Dcypha delivers what could arguably be some of the most adrenaline filled cuts we’ve heard this year as he closes the song out with some Sean P samples from an upcoming Cypha Den Music single. If you love Hip Hop, this song’s for you. Listen to “Into Dust” below.
Taiyamo opened up for A.F.R.O. and R.A. The Rugged Man on December 10th while on their tour run in Milwaukee. Denku was once again asked on stage by R.A. himself to beatbox “Stanley Kubrick”. The Collab King was also brought up while he performed in Chicago this past Halloween. Check the video footage out below.

TOPE returns with a new soulful dedication produced by Stewart Villain titled “Thank You”. Featuring vocals from Erikka J and live trumpet from Farnell Newton, the song is simply an endearment record aimed at those that has always stuck by his side. Earlier this year, TOPE produced the Slum Village and Cool Nutz collab, headlined his largest tour to date, was featured on Blu’s “Soul Amazing 6” and collaborated with artists like Mic Capes, Swa Playmaker and more.
Even with thast said, it’s been a quiet year by TOPE‘s standards. “Thank You” gets personal over the beat, speaking on a past relationship and the ups & downs of trying to prove yourself to your partner. The combination of Farnell, Stewart and Erikka makes for a smooth, jazzy feel with the emcee rounding things out nicely. Soak the song up below as the Portland-breed double talent starts mapping out 2017.
MSPHiT Ent presents Big Zay Mack and his wrestling inspired audio single, “Ric Flair”. The single contains a few scathing bars while showcasing his hunger for success. Paying homage to the late Shawty Lo, the JD-produced song can be heard below. Also look out for the “Eclectic Euphoria” project, coming soon.
