After mastering a flawless combination of old school vibes with a new wave flow, Tampa Bay native Young Kev introduces his latest single, Secret featuring Corey.
This playful melody will not only have the ladies tuned in; it will have the fellas pondering the idea of romance and mystery. Young Kev orchestrates all of this on a beat suitable for a first date or club night.
When asked the inspiration for the latest single, Young Kev responded, “When I heard the beat the words just started flowin’, it reminds me of a JaRule or LL Cool J vibe.”

Unrelenting artistry exudes from Elijah Hosein. Motivated by the classic showmanship of Michael Jackson, and the contemporary allure of Bruno Mars, the “Below The Moon” singer/songwriter is determined to make the world respect his voice.
Tribulation, talent, and triumph continue to caress his perspective. Shaped by Brooklyn streets, the Flatbush native is working to ensure the globe moves to his beat. “Secret,” the second release, from his anticipated EP Reflection, mandates movement.
Grammy-nominated, Kaleb “KQuick” Rollins’ eloquent production melds seamlessly with Elijah’s pure vocal ability. Insatiable horns increase the track’s overall appeal. This visceral Roarin Lion-visual encaptures simplistic brilliance. Here, Elijah Hosein’s innate artistry is given the spotlight.
I had the opportunity of listening to the mixtape at Quad Studios for Secret’s mixtape release party. I was extremely impressed with the studio ethic & the vibe given. Jack Thriller was there listening on his throne, as I took a corner and began to analyze & listen.
The “Still Triumph Under Pressure & Denial” mixtape embodies hip hop from the mid 90s, featuring interviews, DJ intros & monologue and freestyles. What I do love about this mixtape is the differentiation between the original music from the freestyles. I have more of a liking for originality due to the creative process behind it; lyric wise, mixing & aesthetics. Secret talks about everything from the politics in the industry, to politics we all can relate, dealing with death, stress & hardships, to being a woman & still not getting the respect we deserve. I hear you on that!
This is not your traditional mixtape, although it may feel like it. The Chicago artist has a point to make & she will get it across.
I want to hear more original music. I can’t wait for the next one
